Workshop: Regulating Emotions & the Inner Critic

Whether we're aware of it or not, our thoughts and emotions are constantly playing a role in how we live our lives. Sometimes, it can be in small habits or behaviours; others, it can feel completely overwhelming.

So how can we better understand and deal with those emotions and the constant internal chatter?

This workshop explores the stories we tell ourselves and the emotions which come with them. With practical advice for applying to everyday life, it covers:

  • Taming the inner critic: Making friends with our internal monologue and the negative thoughts it so often provides.

  • Observing emotions: Getting to know our feelings and how they impact our behaviour.

  • Slowing down our instincts: Recognising patterns and stopping our "monkey mind" from doing the stuff we'd prefer not to.

  • Other people's issues: How to stay present when faced with other people's emotions
